Wow, 2013 is shaping up to be monumental for Jordan Brand. With your favorite OG Jordan V’s hitting shelves next year, looks as if we will also see the stellar Air Jordan VIII make a much-needed comeback. A rarity, the Jordan VIII isn’t typically seen in comparison to other popular models. Most notably, the “Aqua,” which has been absent since 2007, will undergo the retro treatment in 2013. In one of the most celebrated color schemes of its kind, this could easily be one of the bigger releases of the coming year.
The Air Jordan VII “Aqua” is symbolic in many ways. First, it’s the sneaker Michael Jordan wore while on his way to his first 3-Peat with the Chicago Bulls. Secondly, 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of the coveted shoe and that championship run. Each plays a part in the release of this signature Jordan silhouette. Rumored to see it’s release in Fall of 2013.
